Why AI Fails Most Creators—and How to Fix It

I don't know about you but my brain is constantly bursting with ideas. Projects I want to start. Content I want to create. Things I want to build.

But there's only so much creative energy to go around.

And it's not even the big creative stuff that drains me. It's death by creative admin:

• Writing hooks that grab attention
• Crafting headlines that make people click
• Coming up with clever CTAs
• Finding fresh ways to say the same thing
• Endlessly tweaking your words

Here's the thing about being a creator: Your brain is constantly juggling a million things.

No wonder we're all tempted to jump on the AI bandwagon.

I hear a lot of people talk about speed & creative output as the benefits of using AI as a creator. But for me it's something else.

It's the bandwidth I get back by having a creative copilot on my side.

• Your Core Values This isn't just about tone—it's about alignment. When AI understands what drives you (like my values of leverage, ease & curiosity), every interaction becomes meaningful. No more generic responses that miss the mark.
• Your Personality Your brand isn't just your writing style—it's how you show up. When AI gets your personality (like how I use playfulness to make complex topics feel light), it can engage authentically with your audience.
• Your Creative Language We all have words and phrases that feel natural to us. Teaching AI your creative language (like how I use words like "spark," "flow," & "bank") means you spend less energy translating ideas.
• Your Writing Commandments These are your non-negotiable rules. When AI knows these boundaries, you spend less time editing and more time creating. (One of mine? "Keep it playful, but never cheesy" 😉)
• Your Human Quirks The little things that make your writing YOU. Like how I love using casual asides (hello!) or CAPS for emphasis. When AI gets these details right, you can focus on the big ideas.

Honestly I was shocked at how different the outputs where when AI started to understand these five contexts.

Inevitably when I've shared this process publicly I get one or two people saying - Ugh that sounds like a lot of work.

More work than slaving away with little creative bandwidth for the rest of your life?
