Welcome to The Weekly 3x3 By Ev | Edition 12 🎉
I'm not sure if I was super productive or super procrastinative this week. Because I wrote about my productivity workflows A LOT. I also got some great feedback from the new format, so the weekly 3x3 is here to stay!
Let's dive in.
⚡️ 3 Things I Created.
I kicked the week off by writing about my secret to starting anything. Nicolas Cole calls it Prep The Page, I call it your Starter Kit. Just the other day I wrote about my Breadcrumb Method for juggling and switching between tasks fast. And lastly this beautiful piece about how the joy of the practice is everything.
I've got a BIG article coming this week about my notebook habit that I've been labouring over, so stay tuned on Medium for that (if you're not following me there click here)
💻 3 Things I Consumed.
To get your brain firing, here are some things I've read this week from around the internet that I've found interesting...
[PODCAST] Rich Roll On Why Consistency Is The Key To Success
This is one of the best podcasts I've listened to in ages. If you want a primer on consistency from someone who has put out 600 episodes, then listen to this. My favourite part is when Rich says he still gets nervous every time he hits records - after 600 Episodes!
[ARTICLE] Manage Your Leverage To Supercharge Your Productivity
I really enjoyed this article from Bryan Lee about using leverage to boost our productivity. A couple of standout sections is creating a body of knowledge that we can use again in the future and originality is overrated - never start from scratch.
[VIDEO] My Progressive Content Creation System In Roam
A great video from Jeffrey Webber about his note-taking and content creation system for Roam. Even if you don't use Roam, this is a great primer on how to create a system for your notes and thoughts.
Also, I've added a new section to my website with article, book, video & podcast recommendations. I'm throwing things in there from time to time. So if you're looking for more to consume definitely check it out.
🐦 3 Tweets I Bookmarked
My friend Dave Beck always writes things that cause me to stop and think, this one caught my attention because most of us don't think about subtracting from our lives.
Joe Goodman wrote an outstanding thread on why we should stop judging ourselves as lazy and instead coach ourselves by asking some better questions 👇
Benjamin Franklin had it right when he said "Either write something wroth reading or do something worth writing." Print this one out and stick it on a wall where you can see it multiple times a day.
