Welcome to The Weekly 3x3 By Ev | Edition 17 🎉
Big week for me this week as I surprised everyone by releasing The Focus Hub two days early. I know there are a lot of excited people out there planning their weeks as I write this. If you haven't jumped on the pre-sale yet, you can still get the pre-sale price of $19 till Monday 5pm AEST.
Now, let's dive into this week's newsletter...
⚡️ 3 Things I Created.
Today I released a video on How I Take Notes From Articles which shows my whole process from clipping articles to making notes, I also wrote a quick essay on how you can shake up your creative process by adding in a little randomisation and why I'm scheduling system upgrade days
for my systems (& my life).
I also dropped a Medium article this week on How I Finally Stopped Overscheduling Myself And Started Getting More Done.
💻 3 Things I Consumed.
To get your brain firing, here are some things I've read this week from around the internet that I've found interesting...
[ARTICLE] 102 Creators Who’ve Each Earned Over $100,000 Share Their Single Best Tip for Aspiring Creators
I found this one on the Gumroad blog and loved all the different tips from creators who are making real money. Well worth a quick read-through.
[VIDEO] If your life is your biggest project, why not design it?
I haven't been able to stop thinking about this Ted Talk from Ayse Birsel as she talks about being intentional about designing your life. One phrase stood out "I think differently because I'm a product designer." And it got me thinking about the question Why Do I think differently? What's the lense in which I view the world?
[Article] High-leverage activities: how to identify your energy multipliers
I've been thinking a lot about leverage lately and this article from Anne-Laure Le Cunff perfectly expressed why focusing on high leverage activities actually multiplies our energy.
🐦 3 Tweets I Bookmarked This Week
Classic Jack Butcher that I completely resonate with. Let's all stop associating our output with a measure of time and start using leverage to get better work done.
I sat and stared at this tweet from Lifelog for a long time and now I'm reconsidering how I set goals for my future self.
And if you want to come have some Twitter fun, head on over to Chris Hutchings status and tag some people in to continue this crazy tweet storm.
